Life Lately No. 10

Kidding around here. Its late and I’m writing this blog post (like I used to write them back in the good old days of blogging) because I’ve got all this recent newfound motivation! If you don’t follow my insta-stories, you should (why?) because its about as real as it gets on there and I always have something new to say about something. Tonight, I chatted with you guys about makeup tips, YouTube, and not snapping while driving (or insta-story-ing?) the other day we talked about my secret tip for potatoes (and let me tell you, it was a GOOD tip) and who knows what I’ll be chatting about tomorrow!

I think I’m going to start downloading my insta-stories and then re-uploading them all to Youtube for you guys to see the recap after 24 hours. Sound like a plan? Ok good. Anyways, here’s what happened this week:

Palm Beach is probably my favorite place to visit hands down. I love it. I started going there when I was about 14/15 when my grandparents first bought a house down there and I didn’t start going frequently until about 18 when I started visiting them more frequently. Coincidentally, Marc’s family also happens to have a place in the city and next thing you know, its a whole big family situation when I go down there!

Aside from family (and when Marc and I can sneak in a date night or two) Palm Beach has an amazing vibe to it. The climate, the shops, the people, everything is just amazing! I love seeing all of the *very* wealthy Palm Beach women with their little dogs going shopping on Worth Ave and being able to live in their little world every so often when I take a trip down there. The colors are vibrant and everything pops out at you! Not to mention, the food and nightlife is great – and who doesn’t like vacationing by the water?! I’m getting a little ahead of myself here.

I had a very short trip this time (with only one stop to Worth Ave – no shopping this time!) but I did get to meet up with a couple of bloggers from Vero Beach at the Costa D’ Este Hotel and Resort. Getting to connect with other women doing the exact thing that I’m doing is really exciting, especially because I had become friends with these women over the internet so meeting them in real life was the coolest!

Now I’m back in Beantown and living the dream . . . (LOL)

Chanel – Cruise 2017 – This isn’t so much of an on-the-web tip as it is a tip that I found out while checking out the Chanel store on Worth Ave this week. Apparently, the Cruise collection (for each year) seems to do the best across all brands so you’ll be sure to see some cool shows on social media soon! Items like this bag are sure to be hot-ticket items as well! (Also, DIOR just launched their Cruise capsule and hello beautiful!)

NorthShore’s Night Out – I’m so excited to attend the 4th Annual Northshore’s Night Out shopping event in Danvers! I’ve never been to it before and it looks AMAZING for scoping out some great local shops and getting to connect with the different owners of fashion boutiques, spas, and more! Its events like these where you learn the real tips and tricks of style and get to make personal connections with the people who know best! If any of you want to meet up IRL (!!!) at the event and spend the day shopping with me – you can purchase discounted tickets using the code RACHEL by clicking here (!!!)

Willing Beauty – I was recently sent a PR box of goodies from Willing Beauty to celebrate their launch and I have decided to take their Hy+5 Challenge for hydrated skin! I’m excited to try a product that makes the steps needed for hydration simple. I’ve already started vlogging about my experience so I will keep you posted once I finish the next 5 days!

Denim Mini + Midi Skirts – My inner 90’s child is so excited for the fact that denim mini and midi skirts are back in style! This is a trend that I grew up with and a trend that I would love to have stick around! This skirt is probably going to be my next purchase, and just in time for summer too!

Sparkly Sneakers – I’m not the biggest sneaker fan, but I am a very bling-bling loving kind of gal so when I noticed that multiple designers started taking on the sparkle sneaker trend – I was MORE than ready to hop on board! Aside from my go-to pink INC International Concepts slides, I just purchased two pairs of these Kate Spade x KEDS sneakers in white and navy. What do you guys think?
