Life Lately No. 11 (Style, Events, and More)

You know this is going to be a good blog post when I’m writing it a week early! (Or thats at least what I’m thinking right now!)

Bloggers Who Brunch

So, I’m kicking off this week’s happenings by a review of Saturday the 13th! I started off my morning by going to a Style Collective Becoming Fearless Podcast Launch Party hosted by my friend Lindsay of Paris, Meet Boston. We brunched at the CUTEST French restaurant on Newbury Street (and by French, I mean FRENCH – Lindsay spoke to the waiter in French the entire time and it was so chic!) and tasted some great pate, small h’ors de eurves , and of course pink champagne! I LOVE going to these events SO much because a) Its super cool to get special blogger treatment (I’m serious I love it lol!) and b) I get to meet with and connect with some amazing ladies that are all on this blogging journey together. If anybody is interested in joining and wants in, click here to join and I’ll go with you to the next event! (photography by @jsaulsky)

After running like a lunatic down Newbury Street to get to my car (and losing the shoes off of my feet in the process) I headed straight over to Marc’s for a family get together. His nephew graduated as an Eagle Scout (congrats Patrick!) and we attended the ceremony. Following the ceremony, we headed to his sister’s house for some classic Italian cuisine (read: YUM)

HARTLEY BOTANIC x Mass Horticultural Society LAUNCH PARTY

Hartley Botanic is the world’s leading manufacturer of the original English greenhouse. To put it simply, if you are into greenhouses (which is a thing in England) than you are into Hartley Botanic. The company donated a Victorian greenhouse to the Massachusetts Horticultural Society and I was able to attend for the official ribbon cutting. The downside? It was pouring buckets the day of the event!

I’ve been toying around with the idea of branding my blog with a color scheme for a while now and I have finally decided on a palette that I love! Although the finishing touches won’t be done for a while, this shirt is basically #OnBrand for The (new and improved) Rachel Review!

Crisp White – I’m so in the mood for summer time and I’m thinking of trying out this nail trend. Thoughts?

Shoptiques x St. Croix – One of my favorite online shops is hosting a giveaway trip to St. Croix! I loved going to the USVI back in January and it would be amazing to get to go again! Click here to enter the sweepstakes for your chance to win!

Sun & Stripes – I’m planning my summer wardrobe early and I couldn’t be more excited for bold colors, stripes, and this top from Vineyard Vines!

Lord Loafers – Marc turned me on to these loafers and I’m OBSESSED. I bought him a pair for his birthday last year and this year, I’m looking to invest in the driving loafers in this color.

Thank You Very Much – There is nothing nicer than a personalized thank you note. Sending a thank you card does more than just thanking somebody, it says so much about your character! I’m a big fan of good stationary and I can’t wait to send out these notes
