(Mineral Fusion Nail Polish – Shop The Collection Below )

I recently came across these little gems at my local WholeFoods one day and I thought to myself “Wait. They sell nail polish at Wholefoods?” Immediately I knew that I wanted to test them out and see for myself how well they worked. To my surprise, I actually ended up liking these nail polishes better than some of my other high-end brand nail polishes (cough cough OPI and Essie cough cough.) Why? For starters, the nail polishes go on quite smoothly and don’t have an over-loaded nail polish smell when you open them. For those of you with sensitive noses, these polishes are great! The smell isn’t over bearing or very chemically.

I also really enjoyed the drying time on these polishes. I normally hate having to wait forever for my polish to dry (first world problems, right?) especially when I’m in a rush or headed out the door for a date night. These dry much faster than I anticipated and I would recommend sticking to two coats for optimal drying time.

Mineral Fusion makes other products aside from nail polish, but these stood out to me in part because a) there was a sale going on and b) they were in a cute holiday kit and I am a big sucker for mini nail polishes! They are just the right size to keep in my purse and I know that I’ll be able to finish each bottle and not have to keep the old bottles laying around. Ladies, you know what I’m talking about here.

For a larger bottle of each color (and the standard size / way they are sold – 0.3oz) they are very moderately priced for what you would pay for a high-end nail polish (their website advertises them at $7.99) and their holiday kits of smaller nail polish (like the ones shown here) sell for three at $10.99. I’ve come across a few sales at Wholefoods here and there so you might want to wait for them to go on sale if you’re skeptical about trying natural nail polish.

That’s another topic I wanted to discuss. When it comes to buying natural makeup, I sometimes have this premonition that the natural makeup isn’t going to hold up to its chemically-induced brothers and sisters in terms of quality and performance. I am happy to say that I have no such feelings towards Mineral Fusion. The company definitely did a great job at coming up with a formula that has the perks of being:

100% Vegan

Formaldehyde Free

Camphor Free

DBP Free

Toluene Free

Free of gluten, parabens, talc, artificial colors, SLS, and phthalates.

while still managing to have the look and feel of a traditional nail polish! So don’t let all the amazing perks scare you, this is a rare occurrence of being able to have your cake and eat it too so enjoy!

I think my favorite color out of the collection has to be Golden Sands (shown below). Its the perfect nude nail polish color to go for any season, any occasion, any style. Dress it up or down, you’re good to go with Golden Sands. I also find that wearing a nude nail elongates the look of my hands and fingers, which is great for when I wear nice rings and want to make them stand out.
