Happy Tuesday! Guys, I have to be honest with you, the inspiration for today’s post came about because I am just coming out of a no-workout rut. You heard me, I haven’t worked out (consistently and regularly as a part of my weekly routine) for about a year now. Here’s the backstory: after dissolving my first LLC and getting completely and utterly upset about things not panning out, I basically stopped most habits surrounding my first business. One of those habits was going for an early morning run through the forest with my business partner at the time. So naturally, when things hit a rough patch with both the business and our friendship I stopped a lot of my good habits. I have fortunately always been into fitness and working out but last year I had almost stopped completely. The results? Not good. For starters, my anxiety skyrocketed and things that never seemed to bother me suddenly became overwhelming. My sleep and eating patterns also seemed to be twisted and I started catching more colds than usual. Not working out? Not good.
Thankfully, I’ve realized this and have made an effort to start making working out part of my normal schedule once again. Its started with just doing some casual one or two mile walks around the neighborhood with my boyfriend and has slowly transitioned into attending a barre class and picking up the weights yet again. I’m still not back to a complete workout schedule, but I’m excited about the effort I’ve been putting in! I decided to use the “cute clothes motivate you to workout” excuse to run on over to my local Athleta store and I picked up this gorgeous white workout sweater to “get me in the mood” of working out again! Honestly, I think its working!!! I’m excited for a little more spring weather so I can actually hit the trails and get running yet again (and shop for more cute workout gear, woohoo!)
